Mouse Tracker
This mouse tracker keeps track of your mouse's paths and plots them onto a picture as a series of lines. You can choose the colour of the lines, and even make them slightly transparent, giving the effect that the colour is building up as the mouse is there more often.
The application shouldn't slow down any reasonably new computer, but don't complain if it slows down your old Pentium 4! I've used the program while playing a variety of new games and have noticed no slowdown. I have also used the application on a netbook with only a little slowdown.
Updated 07/05/2011 -
- Fixed a bug where closing the window in the menu could cause a crash.
- Added a feature to work on the existing image (which gives you the option to use different colours for each time you use it!)
2 hours of browsing, The main menu, The program while it records, multiple colours example (by selecting Resume Last), 6 hours of use (including Modern Warfare 2 play), 2 hours of Trackmania Forever track editing.
More Info:
This program is 450 lines of C++ and uses SFML (http://sfml-dev.org/) for rendering and image work.
I developed the app in Visual C++ 2010 Express Edition.
I used the Bitstream Vera Sans Mono font (http://www.gnome.org/fonts/).
If you download the game, you will see there's some information in the readme on the license and such. If you have any other questions you can use the contact page.
IF YOU GET THIS ERROR:
MouseTracker.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Then simply get the VC++ 2010 redist -
